Paul Ruffin

Paul Ruffin is the Founding Editor and Director of Texas Review Press, a member of the Texas A&M University Press Consortium. Ruffin is himself a poet, a short story writer, and a novelist. He is the Regents Distinguished Professor of English at Sam Houston State University and the 2009 Poet Laureate for the state of Texas.

His most recent work, Travels with George, in Search of Ben Hur and Other Meanderings (2011) is a collection of essays that highlight his "idiosyncratic wit and practiced storytelling skills in memorable autobiographic pieces ranging from the comic to the confessional." Featured in this collection are iconic memories of the great George Garrett.
